VERITAS EXPOSITA follows aspiring journalist Ali Taylor on a three-episode journey (plus a prologue) deep into the world of sex work—one choice at a time.
Inspired by Our Red String (Eva Kiss), Female Agent (Crushstation), and the introspective vibes of Life is Strange, VERITAS EXPOSITA is a text-driven, multi-path narrative with hand-drawn visual elements and a sleek, journalism-themed UI. It blends the depth of interactive fiction with the structure of a visual novel, offering an immersive and emotional experience.
You play as Ali Taylor—young, ambitious, and in serious need of a break. Her boyfriend's distant, her dad just cut her off, and the school year is looming like a storm cloud. She's overwhelmed and exhausted.
All she wants is a weekend at the beach with her best friend... She didn’t plan on taking her top off for a stranger’s camera to get it.
But by the end of this prologue, Through the Lens, that’s exactly what she’ll have to do.
Serving as both a proof-of-concept, and the foundation of a larger narrative, Through the Lens is Ali's first step into a world she never expected to be a part of.
While later episodes will introduce more complex mechanics—including a day/night cycle, (limited) skill-based choices, and deeper narrative interactions—the prologue remains tightly scoped, focusing on immersive storytelling and player-driven decisions.
Currently over 25,000 words, Through the Lens will launch in a single complete release, ensuring a fully realized introduction before expanding into the broader experience.

Very intriguing beginning.
I have a few questions,
1. Are intercourse optional?
2. There is mentioned of boyfriend in the story, is there any possible F/F content planned? Or is it only M/F.
3. I see the mention of sex work. Is it going to be a corruption type story here? From the general shy/Innocent to depraved/slutty type of plot?

1 and 3. Answering question one involves answering question three. With that being said. So far, yes, intercourse is player optional. In the future, probably.
The reason has to do with question 3. One of my core design goals is to present a journey where the player decides the emotional and psychological response from Ali. From a version of Ali that's doing it just for the money, to a version of Ali that's genuinely into it.
What you won't see is Ali presented with situations where she's forced into sex work. The core question my story asks is, "Why would a woman like Ali willingly enter sex work if she didn't need to?"
My goal is to allow the player to answer that question. I just facilitate the options.
But, back to question 1. Can a game about entering sex work be done while making intercourse optional? I think the answer is yes. The real question is, do I as a writer have what it takes to make that path interesting? I'll certainly try, but if everything I write on that path comes out as junk, then it won't be in the game.
2. F/F content will be in the game. Will there be a full lesbian relationship in the game? I don't know. As with the above, I'm going to attempt to write it, but if I can't pay respect to that dynamic, then no.
